Established in 2010, FALNI was founded to promote solidarity among adult learning providers and create a united voice to advocate for the needs of both the sector and the learners it serves. This special event will reflect on the forum’s founding principles, trace the evolution of the adult learning landscape over the past decade and a half, and celebrate its key achievements.

Acknowledging the significant shifts in learner demographics since its inception, the event will have a forward-looking, solutions-focused core. The central theme will be how the sector can effectively address the needs of Northern Ireland’s newcomers and explore what systemic changes are required to improve educational provision and support integration.

True to its mission, FALNI will facilitate discussions aimed at building collaborative responses across different sectors, ensuring the voices of learners themselves are included in shaping the future of adult learning.
