About the Norwegian Language 

Norwegian (norsk) is a North Germanic language. Approximately five million people speak this language and they are mainly confined to the Kingdom of Norway. In addition to Swedish and Danish, the Norweigan language forms a dialect continuum. This means that different dialects of these languages are mutually intelligible to some extent. Interestingly, the language is written according to two different standards. They are “bokmål” (book language) and “nynorsk” (new Norwegian). The language has several different dialects and the language makes Norwegians unique.
